The Honda Element has long been recognized as an accommodating ride for folks with active lifestyles involving sports and hobbies, and the new Dog Friendly Element takes that concept to a whole new level with specially designed features for Fido, and you! Starting in mid-November, Checkered Flag Honda, your Honda Norfolk dealer, will have the new pimped out K-9 carriers here in the showroom, so grab your pooch and come check it out.
More details from Honda-
Engineered to integrate with factory precision into the Element EX, the Dog Friendly equipment is intended to accommodate the secure transportation of a dog in the cargo area within a nylon-webbed car kennel. In daily operation the car kennel helps prevent a dog from interfering with the driver in traffic by keeping the pet properly restrained and out of reach of the driver. In the event of a frontal collision, the kennel is intended to help restrain the dog behind the rear seats, reducing the chance for the pet to be injured - or to injure human occupants during a crash.
The Dog Friendly equipment enhances pet comfort by providing a soft floor surface for the dogs legs and paws along with a dedicated fan and a spill resistant water source. Convenience is improved for owners with an integrated ramp, easy to clean surfaces and a full suite of matching Dog Friendly accoutrements.

Looking for an American-made crossover? Take a look at the new Honda Crosstour. Yep, a Honda, thats American-made. I cant wait to get our first one here at your Honda Norfolk dealer, Checkered Flag Honda. Heres the story from Autoblog-
This week, Honda marked the thirtieth anniversary of the start of motorcycle production in the United States with a tree planting ceremony and a new production announcement. Legions of Facebook fans of the new Honda Accord Crosstour will surely be thrilled to learn that the companys new lifted hatchback thingy will be built at the East Liberty, OH assembly plant. East Liberty already builds Accord sedans and coupes, making it a natural to build the new bodystyle. As with other American-built Hondas, most of the major components are also locally sourced. Hondas nearby Anna, OH engine plant will ship over the V6 engines while the Russells Point facility will build the transmissions.
The Marysville plant that got motorcycle production started three decades ago is now being transformed into a consolidation center to feed parts and systems to the other nearby assembly plants. Honda has decided that it makes more sense for them to focus on building cars in America than bikes. ...

I want one! I already had my eye on the Honda CR-V for my next car, but now I want it even more. The changes to the 2010 model, though subtle, do make it look a little nicer. Check out whats different from Autoblog, then visit your Honda Norfolk dealer, Checkered Flag Honda today for a test drive.
Casual observers will have a difficult time distinguishing between Hondas 2009 and 2010 CR-V. Small exterior tweaks and interior upgrades top the list of changes, while underhood, Honda's cute ute gets another 14 horses to play with while returning slightly better fuel economy.
The CR-Vs grille gets re-worked with a single chrome bar instead of two, and flows into the headlights instead of being interrupted by body-color trim. The opening below shrinks and receives a honeycomb insert instead of the horizontal slats, and below that, the rugged-looking plastic fascia is totally re-worked with less black, more paint.
From the side, the two are virtually identical, except the rear bumper, where the side markers are a bit more visible. In back, changes to the lower fascia are more discernible, with the black plastic losing some height in exchange for body-color paneling. EX and L models get upgraded to standard ten-spoke wheels instead of 2009s seven-spoke, while inside, Honda has made a few aesthetic and functionality changes including a wider center armrest, new door handle design and new fabric choices.

I dont know about these Lambo doors on a minivan. But I am loving the green wheels. Honda Skydeck Concept, details from Autoblog. Your Honda Va Beach dealer, Checkered Flag Honda, will keep you up to date on any new info.
This is the Tokyo Motor Show-bound Honda Skydeck concept, a minivan that is, essentially, a perfect storm of non-standard-hinged door technology. Those doors lead to a passenger cabin featuring center-mounted floating seats that are stackable for easier access to the third row. From there, passengers can take in the breathtaking vistas offered by the all-glass roof, or simply enjoy the Skydecks minimalist interior, which looks as if it could be the handiwork of IKEA designers being held against their will by armed ASIMO centurions. For added Earth-loving wonderfulness, the Skydeck is, of course, a hybrid. Plus, it earns major bonus points for having translucent green wheels even though SEMAs still over a month away! Check out more pics of the Honda Skydeck in the gallery below.

Tell me what you think of the all new 2010 Honda Crosstour.. These are the first official photos released, although we have had plenty of advanced warning and sneaked spy shots of the five-door, tall, wagon-style hatchback. Although visually similar to the upcoming Acura ZDX, it is based on a modified Honda Accord chassis and will slot in-between CR-V and Pilot. Honda hasnt announced powertrains, but we can expect to see 3.5-liter V6 and 2.4-liter four-cylinder power from the standard Accord coupe and sedan, although the Crosstour will also offer all-wheel-drive – most likely Hondas VTM-4 AWD system. Stay tuned to Checkered Flag Honda, your Honda Norfolk dealer, website for availability information.
And the verdict is…? I want to hear from you. What do you think of the design?

Oooohh! From the day I bought my last car, I was already planning what I would buy next. Its the curse of working at a car dealership. The Honda CR-V is one of the top contenders for my next vehicle. I currently drive a small convertible, so I want my next car to be a little roomier and have better functionality. I have a short list of favorites and CR-V is battling with one other model for the top spot. I guess I will have to wait and see if the changes made to the 2010 model push it to the very front, but from this photo.. its looking very, very likely! I just may find myself on the other side of the sales desk soon at Checkered Flag Honda, your Honda Norfolk dealer. Check out the story from Carscoop-
Turns out that the scoop photo of the refreshed 2010 Honda CR-V that we showed you back in May was the real-deal as this official shot of the facelift model that was published on Hondas Japanese website confirms. According to Honda, the updated CR-V will be revealed on September 17, which also happens to be the first day of the Frankfurt Motor Show - though, we dont know if Honda will actually unveil the SUV in Germany.
It will take a trained eye to notice the extremely subtle cosmetic changes on the 2010 CR-V - at least in what concerns the front end as we don't have any other photos of the model. These include the larger upper grille that now features less chrome trim, the modified lower grille and the reshaped bumper with the new lower part and smaller fog light housings.
Were not aware of any other styling changes or mechanical upgrades, but we gather that Honda will release full details of the European and North American 2010 CR-V along with the JDM model.
